Perfect breakfast to start the day, outstanding food. Excellent location in a quiet area within easy walking distance to the city and easy access to the main shopping center and a shopping area. Easy check-in, late check-out. Perfect base for celebrating birthday, recommend.

Cozy stay with a furry friend!
What a lovely spot! The staff were super friendly and showed us to our room. The rain shower was a dream! Loved chilling in the bar area by the fireplace, and there was a cute cat, made everything even better. Just wish there were more toiletries in the bathroom. Would totally recommend!

A fine range of breakfast options, location about 3-4 minutes walk from City Walls and another 2-3 minutes from there to the Minster. Rooms, bar and dining room stunning. Staff, truly impeccable. House cat is cool too.
Going home.

All you need for celebrating birthday in York. The small queen room is fancy with exceptional shower, noneven bottles, for example. The breakfast was perfect, we enjoyed plenty of meals. It has marvellous central location in an otherwise residential area.
The bathrooms are very small.

The Victorian-style architecture stands out, offering a charming exterior and a pleasant sitting room you'd want to lounge in. The newly assigned room featured proper windows and a bathtub, a significant upgrade from the cramped attic space.
Parking outside is paid and tight, you might find yourself blocked in or blocking someone else. If you're after an 'executive room,' make sure to check what you're getting. The first room had an oddly small shower, and there were issues with the en-suite bathroom in terms of maintenance, like visible wear and mold that could be off-putting for some. The breakfast selection felt basic, lacking variety, which could leave you wanting a bit more energy for those early morning escapades.

Everything! The staff were extremely polite and helpful. One even went above the call of duty to give a couple of us a lift into town. Very comfortable. Lovely breakfast.
Nothing. Everything was fabulous.

The room was lovely, decorated with vintage furniture, and the freshly prepared breakfast was a real highlight. I enjoyed relaxing in the sun terrace and the cozy common lounge during my stay. The only minor drawback was the lack of elevator access, but it didn’t ruin my experience at all. 😊
